Dear Wayne,
How can I possibly begin to thank you for the fine article on my Brown Residence in Fairbanks Ranch, featured in your May 2009 issue. It was written by one of your best, Debbie Baldwin, who never ceases to amaze me, her great thoughts or should I say prose are ones of truth and meaning. Another, John Durant, an artist who never lets go of his beliefs as an architectural photographer and keeps at it until it's finally finished.
I applaud everyone involved at San Diego Home and Garden Magazine who helped make this article what it is, a great success! It is the most extensive written piece I have ever seen on my architecture.
Thank you again for believing in what I do for people as a form giver and artist.

Dear Debbie,
Please forgive me for not writing sooner with regard to your wonderful writing in San Diego Home & Garden Magazine, May 2009. As mentioned before the piece was written with great feeling and understanding for the architecture and it's environment.
After 37 years in practice and 46 publications, including TV and books, I truly feel this was one of the best. There were many telephone calls and congratulatory comments concerning the Baldwin/Applebaum collaboration.
Thank you so much Debbie. I have included a letter, written to Wayne Carlson the editor, which I sent right after the article was released.
You are wonderful!
